This traditional Italian favourite was originally developed in its namesake: the village of Asiago in northern Italy. Slightly sweeter, smoother and nuttier than Parmesan, Asiago’s flavour ranges from mild to robust (depending on age) and adds panache to pastas, potatoes and salads. Stir into minestrone soup, sprinkle over pasta with tomato basil sauce, sprinkle over potatoes gratin and broil briefly to melt, or add to garlic bread and broil until melted. This is a firm cow's milk cheese. Product of the USA.
